Inside the Best New Construction Community Near Tech in Mountain View
A brand-new 4-bed model townhome 10 minutes from Google
If you're relocating to Silicon Valley and want brand-new construction, walkable living and a short commute to Google, without taking on a decades-old fixer-upper, this community deserves a look.
Most homes in Mountain View are decades old and need real work. This boutique townhome community, built by a builder known for quality craftsmanship, is one of the only brand-new options in town right now. Today I'm touring the model home, so you'll see the upgraded finishes buyers can choose.
A Bold Entry and a Main-Floor Bedroom
The home makes an impression before you step inside, thanks to an arched front door painted a bold orange. The entry features green-and-brown wallpaper that gives the home character from the first step.
One of the four bedrooms sits right on the ground floor. It works as a home office, a guest suite or a space for visiting parents. The ground-floor bathroom has a tub, subway tile and chrome finishes. A two-car garage with an electric opener completes the level.
An Open-Concept Kitchen and Living Area
The main level is built for everyday living and hosting. Highlights include:
- A center island in off-white quartz with blue-gray veining and overhang seating
- A two-door stainless steel refrigerator and a deep rounded sink under a window
- A five-burner Café induction range under a statement hood
- A built-in microwave tucked into the cabinetry to free up counter space
- A pantry that tucks deep under the stairs, plus a coat closet
- A pre-wired TV wall visible from the kitchen, dining nook and living room
Each floor has its own air conditioning unit. You can cool only the level you're using, which keeps the home efficient and lowers your bills. A powder room sits a few steps up, off the main living space.
Upstairs: Three Bedrooms and the Primary Suite
The top floor has a full-size stacked washer and dryer behind a closet door, a linen closet and mid-tone wood floors that make the space feel larger.
Two secondary bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub. Each has a sliding-door closet, plenty of outlets and its own temperature control.
The primary suite has a three-door-deep closet and a private bathroom with dual vanities, a linen closet, a private water closet and a generously sized shower in light gray tile. If you love the model's look, the builder can connect you with its designers and stagers.
Community Amenities: Resort-Style Perks, No Yard Work
This is boutique townhome living, so you won't get a big private backyard. Instead, residents share:
- A swimming pool and hot tub
- Barbecue stations and a grassy picnic area
- A community garden
- An HOA that covers exterior upkeep
If you're relocating from out of state and don't want to spend weekends on yard work, this setup handles much of the maintenance for you.
